Live Edge Bench
A live edge bench made from a richly figured elm board, with tapered legs and a hand-shaped spindle back.
The bench is built around a single broad board of elm, retaining the natural edge and irregular character of the timber. The surface carries strong figure, burr and grain movement, making the board the central feature of the piece.
Set against this, the legs are crisp and tapered, while the spindles are shaped by hand and retain visible tool marks from the making process.
The result is a bench that combines the natural form of the tree with the structure and detail of traditional chair making.
