New Works for Sale

We are very happy that we now have the first pieces available to purchase through the Hensby website.

This marks a small but important step for the workshop. Alongside work made by Matthew, the workshop was set up to champion pieces by makers connected to the space, or whose work sits naturally within its wider ethos.

These first two pieces are by Dex Vallon, an independent maker whose work reflects a close sensitivity to material, careful attention to detail and a quiet clarity of design. Both pieces are made in burr elm and walnut, using exceptional slabs of burr elm selected for their irregular natural edges and richly figured surfaces.

The pieces are also available to view in the workshop by appointment.

This is the beginning of a wider ambition to present work by other makers who share a similar commitment to craft, material and design.
