Alpine Chair

A chair in rippled ash, originally designed for a chalet project in the Alps.

The chair takes inspiration from Alpine furniture traditions, with a broad solid seat, splayed legs and a tall shaped back. Its construction is direct and sturdy, with a simple, practical geometry.

The asymmetrical waved back gives the chair a more playful character, while the rippled ash brings movement and depth to the surface.
